Fine artist Allison Carrasquillo is currently interested in portraying the human figure in large chalk pastel and charcoal drawings. These pieces often seek to capture small moments of human intimacy. Human connection is something we all crave and can relate to, but more often than not it is considered taboo to express. Allison believes that something so universally important to the human experience should be celebrated rather than forced into privacy. She uses the scale of her work to confront the viewer with this issue.
